July 24th - Retreat to Rome Bloomfield, IA.  Set up: This is not a standard tactical... we will set up chain of command and a small script for basis of things. Don't come here expecting to go crazy with blanks. This will be patrol actions, skirmishes and a lot of regular soldier work. We have over 200 acres of rolling hills and woods with wide creek beds. Digging in, Bunkers, MG nests and all are all game and will stay in place no need to fill shit in after words. This is an event to immerse into the life of the soldier during WWII. Meals will be provided, covered by your registration. But expect them to come in period food containers to be served out. We hope you can all come out. Immerse into the roll of a soldier and enjoy the chance to really get the feel that public events don't give. The uniform of the day will be the 34th ID.  (non Airborne event)
